In 2002 the Alternative Academy was born to deliver consistent training across the business and ensure each employee receives the support and development they need to follow their personal and career goals. Our specialists cover IT, sales, management and operational support and also deliver generic skills training across the company.
As a result of this commitment to development, the Alternative Academy have supported over 10% of our workforce to progress in to other areas in the last year alone. As well as this, 90% of our management team have been developed internally.
Induction programme
Each new employee will be welcomed with a full training programme designed to introduce them to the history and culture of AN. After this a 3 month plan is developed to ensure that individuals have continuous support during their initial months with us.
Management training
We have also developed our own in-house management training programme. We aim to develop existing management skills as well introduce new ways of working. This programme is open to all existing managers as well as those who have shown an interest in career development.
